Traditional Fellowship

The First Year fellow is primarily responsible for managing the inpatient service, staffing consultations, and gaining open operative experience. Additionally the first year "clinical" fellow spends time educating residents and medical students and is responsible for one educational conference per month and one morbidity and mortality conference per month. The fellow takes home call every third night.

The Second Year fellow is primarily responsible for the endovascular service. The second year "endovascular" fellow also participates in complex open operations and focuses on learning to interpret non-invasive vascular lab testing. The fellow is responsible for one clinical conference per month and one journal club per month, and is expected to spend time educating the residents and medical students. The fellow takes home call every third night.
